1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using World History Explorer, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

World History Explorer is an interactive world history timeline that delivers curated historical events, civilisation data, and educational content. Content is researched, curated, and augmented using editorial processes and artificial intelligence.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (annually) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are displayed in your selected currency and include any applicable taxes.

5. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all plans. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 30 days of your initial purchase for a full refund. Refund requests after 30 days will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are given for unused time beyond the 30-day guarantee period.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and technology on World History Explorer is owned by or licensed to Oranjy Limited. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) share your account credentials; (b) scrape, copy, or redistribute content; (c) attempt to reverse-engineer the Service; (d) use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Wikipedia Content

World History Explorer integrates content from Wikipedia via the REST API. Wikipedia content is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA). Attribution is provided via direct links to the original Wikipedia articles.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oranjy Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
